Nehemiah 8

He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. (KJV - Nehemiah 8:1)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (KJV - Nehemiah 8:2)

There was a man sent from God whose name was John. (KJV - Nehemiah 8:3)

He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. (KJV - Nehemiah 8:4)

He was with God in the beginning. (KJV - Nehemiah 8:5)

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. (KJV - Nehemiah 8:7)

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (KJV - Nehemiah 8:8)
